C’est avec avec une grande tristesse que nous apprenons la disparition d’Ichirô Nagai à l’âge de 82 ans. Le 27 janvier au matin, il a été découvert inconscient dans une chambre d’hôtel de la ville d’Hiroshima. La veille, le comédien enregistrait un programme pour une télé locale. Après son travail, il est parti se reposer dans sa chambre. Ne donnant plus de nouvelles, le staff de l’hôtel est venu, au matin, et l’a découvert sans connaissance dans sa baignoire. La police enquête actuellement sur les causes de sa mort.

Ichirô Nagai comptait parmi les seiyû (comédiens de doublage) vétérans. En effet, c’est lui qui doublait maître Karin et Corbeau Génial dans Dragon Ball et Dragon Ball Z ; Happôsai dans Ranma ½ ; et plus récemment Netero dans Hunter x Hunter ou le vieux vendeur du magasin de ramen dans le second épisode de Space Dandy.

Ses collègues de la profession ont bien sûr exprimé leur émotion et plusieurs dessins ont été signés par des mangaka ou réalisateurs. Ainsi peut-on voir sur la colonne de droite, dans l’ordre de leur apparition :
